Get in touch

Email info@umatihealthstore.com and tell us what happened, which screen you were on, and roughly when. We answer within one working day.

In person: Sifa Plaza, Kenyatta Avenue, Nakuru, Kenya.

Signing in

Umati POS has no public sign-up. A store administrator creates your cashier account and sets your 4-digit PIN from the admin dashboard at www.umatihealthstore.com. Open the app, tap your name in the list, and enter the PIN.

  • Your name is not in the list — an administrator has not created your account yet, or it has been deactivated.
  • The list is empty and shows an error — the phone has no internet connection. The cashier list has to be fetched before the first sign-in.
  • PIN not accepted — ask an administrator to reset it. PINs cannot be recovered, only reset.
  • You are signed out mid-shift — this happens when an administrator deactivates the account. Any sale already recorded is safe.

Printing receipts

Receipts print to a thermal receipt printer on the shop's own Wi-Fi network. If printing fails:

  • Check the phone is on the shop Wi-Fi, not mobile data — the printer is only reachable on the local network.
  • Check the printer is powered on, has paper, and shows no error light.
  • Confirm the printer still has the IP address the app is configured for. Printers that get their address automatically can change it after a power cut; give the printer a fixed address to avoid this.
  • A failed print never affects the sale. The sale is already recorded — open History and tap the printer icon to try again.

Selling without internet

If the connection drops, the app keeps selling. It uses the product catalogue it saved on the device, and each sale is stored locally and marked Saved offline. The home screen shows how many are waiting.

  • Sales upload automatically as soon as the phone is back online.
  • Offline sales are not counted in the Summary totals until they have uploaded.
  • If stock ran out while you were offline, the server may reject a queued sale. The app tells you which ones and why so you can put it right.
  • Do not uninstall the app or reset the phone while sales are still waiting to upload — they only exist on that device.

Stock looks wrong

The till, the online store, and the admin dashboard all share one stock figure. The Sell screen refreshes itself about once a minute while online; leaving the screen and coming back forces a refresh. If a number still looks wrong after that, an administrator can check the stock movements for that product in the dashboard.

Requirements

  • Android 7.0 or newer.
  • A cashier account issued by a store administrator.
  • Internet access to sign in and to upload sales.
  • For receipt printing: a network thermal printer on the same local network as the phone.

Privacy and your data

The app collects no customer personal data and contains no advertising or analytics. See the Privacy Policy for the detail, or the data deletion page to have an account removed.
