Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of www.umatihealthstore.com and the Umati POS Android application. By using either, you agree to them.

Last updated 6 August 2026

1. Who these terms are with

The service is provided by Umati Health Store, Sifa Plaza, Kenyatta Avenue, Nakuru, Kenya(“we”, “us”). Contact: info@umatihealthstore.com.

2. The Umati POS app

Umati POS is a point-of-sale application for authorised staff of Umati Health Store and of businesses we have licensed to use it. Access requires a cashier account issued by a store administrator; there is no public self-registration.

  • Your PIN is personal to you. Do not share it, and tell an administrator immediately if you think someone else knows it.
  • Every sale you ring up is recorded against your cashier account.
  • Use the app only for genuine business transactions at the till.
  • An administrator may deactivate your account at any time, which signs you out of the app.

3. Online store orders

Prices are shown in Kenyan Shillings and include any applicable tax unless stated otherwise. Placing an order is an offer to buy; a contract forms when we confirm the order. We may decline or cancel an order if an item is out of stock, if the price was listed in error, or if we cannot verify the delivery details, and we will refund anything already paid in that case.

4. Product information

We describe our products as accurately as we can, but nothing on the site or in the app is medical advice. Nutrition, wellness, and beauty products are not a substitute for professional healthcare. Read the label before use and speak to a qualified practitioner if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a health condition.

5. Returns

Sealed, unopened products in their original condition may be returned within 7 days of receipt. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns of opened supplements, cosmetics, or personal care items unless the product is faulty or was sent in error. If we made a mistake, we will replace the item or refund it in full.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Access accounts, data, or parts of the service you have not been authorised to use.
  • Interfere with, probe, or attempt to disrupt the service or its underlying infrastructure.
  • Copy, decompile, or redistribute the app or its content except as the law allows.
  • Use the service for anything unlawful.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The POS app continues to accept sales while offline and uploads them when the connection returns; sales queued on a device that is lost, wiped, or reset before syncing cannot be recovered.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Kenyan law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
